| Having been forever a fan, when a good friend of mine had been hired to sing backup and tour with the band i, equipped with camera, backstage-pass and just slightly excessive reverence, attended as many shows as i possibly could. I had a brilliant time and got a photo that pleased me, as well as some "behind the scenes " type snapshots, that i had assured "BOB", would not be published. Naturally, several 'papers' contacted me regarding those photos but I declined from making any deals. One of these 'papers' was the L.A.Weekly, and i offered them a stage shot i thought they might fancy instead. "Thank you, no! we've got all we need, plenty of concert from the record label, the tour photographer,etc," but i guess i said something that changed their mind and made them curious because they asked to see it after all, and now, for the "happy ending"; they liked it as much as I did. It was reused a number of times in the years that followed.
