| Sometimes when i was shooting children's fashion, instead of booking models, i would borrow my friend's kids. Luckily, they had cute kids, like Beck, who was twelve or thirteen when this photo was taken. It was about this time i think that he began to seriously focus on music. I was visiting with his mom around Christmas that year, and, with his younger brother in tow, we asked Beck if he'd like to take a walk with us around the neighborhood and check out the seasonal decorations. He said that he'd rather stay behind ; that he had some songs he needed to work on. So i asked him if he had a band. Beck said , "no...but " and i could swear, he went on to reply, "I got two turntables and a microphone", as he disappeared into his room.
