| Throughout the eighties, i did a great deal of work for the fashion, and the lifestyles sections of the L.A Times. Some assignments involved models and merchandise while others required the more journalistic approach of covering events, seeking out the stylish and reporting the latest trends. An invitation and a presspass enabled me to photograph celebrities who posed willingly; hence, a beaming Jody Foster, who was already then, and remains to be, to this day, one of Hollywood's brightest stars (the occasion was the opening of Interview cover photographer Richard Bernstein's show at an art gallery in Venice, California, where i acquired the only autograph i own, that of Andy Warhol).
